Papago is a proud host site to The First Tee of Phoenix. website available in a new tab The First Tee of Phoenix is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created for the purpose of providing affordable access to golf and golf learning facilities for young people in Maricopa County from all walks of life – particularly those who otherwise might not have an opportunity to play. It was designed to serve as a place for participants to learn valuable life skills and character lessons through creative activities and instructional programs that incorporate the fundamental teachings of golf.

The goal of The First Tee of Phoenix is to incorporate responsibility, courtesy, honesty and integrity – all values inherent in the game of golf – into the daily lives of those who participate. By using the fundamentals of golf, The First Tee of Phoenix equips youth with the skills needed to follow their dreams, advance academically and athletically, strengthen their social abilities and become productive members of their local community.

Monday Skins Game

Our Monday Skins game is an extremely competitive, highly skilled group of the best players Arizona has to offer. The game is a frequent stop for local PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, and Canadian Tour members, as well as many of the top local professionals and amateurs alike. There are stroke play and skins cash pots each week. Our game is played from the Black Tees and measures in at 7333 yards. Tee times begin at 10:30 am and space is limited.
